Your Mission

In your role as a project manager, you take overall responsibility for managing medium to large-scale plant engineering projects in an industrial environment, overseeing them from kick-off through to successful commissioning and handover to the plant operator. You are responsible for meeting deadlines and quality requirements with a clear focus on achieving the contractual objectives, as well as adhering to resource and budget plans. You are used to leading interdisciplinary teams, moderating conflicts and, with your pronounced flexibility and decision-making skills, finding solutions to complex challenges.

Your responsibilities

• Professional coordination and leadership of the project team, including definition of tasks, priorities and escalation paths

• Steering and facilitation of internal and external coordination meetings as well as interface management with all specialist departments

• Managing project-related coordination with customers during the project phase (one face to the customer) and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

• Supporting Sales and Engineering in early project phases and contributing to the preparation of technical offers and project designs

• Taking responsibility for quality, costs, deadlines and complete project documentation, including auditability and certification readiness

• Driving continuous lessons-learned activities, knowledge management and supporting competence development within the project team

• Managing a project milestone plan, taking into account the optimal use of capacities and resources

Your profile

• Completed higher technical education or a technical / business degree with a focus on mechatronics, mechanical engineering or project management

• Several years of project experience as (sub-)project manager in an industrial environment, preferably in mechanical / plant engineering, automotive or production

• Experience with modern project management tools is an advantage (e.g. MS Project, Jira, SAP Project System)

• Strong negotiation and communication skills in German and English

• Very good organizational skills, strong numerical understanding, and sound knowledge of cost and risk management
